Iran Electrical Equipment Engineering (IREEE) Co PJS was established in 1991 as an engineering and monitoring company for projects such as Low Consumption Lamps, Surge Arrestors, Cutout Fuses, Automatic Switch Gears and so on. Upon establishing itself as a prime leader in the aforementioned sectors, IREEE Co took a giant leap forward to focus on designing and producing telecommunications and transmission line towers and their hardware and fittings in 1993.
The result of that “giant leap forward” was nothing but success both locally and internationally for IREEE Co which, in turn, brought about yet one more opportunity to expand further in the fields of transferring technology, researching, developing, designing, engineering and producing lamps, OPGW and conductors and to adopt a new strategy to become an energy holding company to execute projects on EPC and turnkey basis and to invest in new production lines.
Consequently, in 1995 TARRAH GOSTARAN POOYA Co was set up to focus on all activities in connection with designing, engineering, testing and producing Telecommunications and Transmission Line Towers. In 1997, SIM NOOR POOYA CO was founded to be the pioneer producer of OPGW in the country. Later on, in 1999, YARAGH AVARAN POOYA (Y.A.P.) and NOOR AFSHAN Companies were created with the objectives to produce Transmission Line Hardware and Fittings and Lamps, respectively.
Continuing its activities in establishing production units, IREEE set up PARS MAGHAREH CO to produce Glass Insulators in 2001.
In 2002, in order to develop and expand company’s activities in the fields of oil and gas projects ARYA PETRO GAS was established.
Following the privatization policy in Iran, the Iranian Government transferred, in the first phase, the shares of IREEE’s Subsidiaries to the private sector and then, in the second phase, the Government transferred the IREEE’s shares to the private sector. A number of highly skilled and competent managers of publically owned IREEE Co practically bid for the IREEE Co and its Subsidiaries when they were put up for privatization and won in most cases, and, consequently, they became the new shareholders of the newly privatized companies. They relaunched the newly privatized companies with a new vision on a par with the true spirit of free enterprise and entrepreneurship.
Nowadays, IREEE Co, a leading company in the Power Sector, is able to manage all aspects of power transmission projects, especially in the aforementioned fields at optimal costs from front end engineering designs to turnkey delivery.
